Let's start off the December celebrations with this remarkable beauty @ browdesign_bymegan.
Megan is a masterful and caring brow artist in Ottawa, and is such a personal inspiration to people around her. She is the embodiment of gratitude is medicine. Thriving on the other side of adversity, she was looking to reflect the inner restoration and wellness. And what a delight to unwrap these results!
This was the follow-up after just one BBL/Moxi session. The reversal of photodamage and oxidative stress in the skin is amazing, and she felt so empowered to reflect her inner vitality! The under-eye brightening is a phenomenon we are seeing consistently with our Moxi patients✨. A bright and glowing complexion is liberty from the pressure to hide pigmentation under concealer or heavy foundation makeup. The Kinder side of Rejuvenation
I recently had my Sofwave maintenance treatment done, and it made me reflect on why this is the perfect tool for balanced rejuvenation. To age gracefully doesn't mean doing nothing in the face of changes, it can mean doing thoughtful and well-negotiated interventions. By negotiation I mean, we bargain with ourselves about the value of something, weighing the cost and the reward.
A couple decades ago I decided that facelift surgery was never going to be for me, but I would do preventative things and non-surgical interventions to help delay and defer the deal-breaking changes in the ageing process. So lasers, energy devices, regenerative therapies, and some well-timed injections. Some of these things come with minimal down-time: redness, swelling, looking "a bit worse before it looks better" phase. Reasonable cost and time are invested, and downtime needs to minimal for me. Nothing that requires a week off from my life (because at this point in my life TIME and the quality of that time is more precious than money or vanity). And absolutely nothing that risks life itself, I draw a hard line on elective cosmetic procedures that require general anaesthesia. I will also never bungee jump for the thrill, simply not worth it for me. That's just me, not a judgement on anyone who chooses surgery for themselves. That's just how risk-averse I am personally, and this also informs my clinical practice- I always choose THE safest, most conservative approaches to medical procedures because while adverse events are part of medicine, I try to do everything within my control to minimize the risk.
